1. Terms of Service

Welcome to Summerfest, presented by Wright Memorial Event Center ("we," "us," or "the Organizer"). By accessing this website or purchasing tickets, you ("you," "the Attendee") agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

• This website and its content are provided for informational and transactional purposes related to the Summerfest music festival.
• We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
• You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase tickets. By completing a purchase, you represent that you are of legal age to enter into a binding agreement.
• Use of this website for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to fraudulent ticket purchases, is strictly prohibited.
• All content on this site — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Wright Memorial Event Center and may not be reproduced without written permission.

2. Ticket Purchase & Refund Policy

Purchases

• All ticket sales are final at the time of purchase.
• Tickets are valid only for the specific date(s) and pass type indicated at the time of purchase.
• Each ticket admits one person. Tickets are non-transferable unless otherwise stated by the Organizer.
• Duplicate, counterfeit, or unauthorized resale tickets will be voided without refund.
• Tickets will be delivered electronically to the email address provided at checkout. It is your responsibility to provide a valid email address.

Refunds

• No refunds or exchanges will be issued for change of plans, scheduling conflicts, or personal reasons.
• Event cancellation: If the event is cancelled entirely by the Organizer, ticket holders will receive a full refund to the original payment method within 14 business days.
• Event rescheduled: If the event is rescheduled, your ticket will be honored for the new date. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you may request a refund within 7 days of the rescheduling announcement.
• Weather: This is an outdoor event and will proceed rain or shine. No refunds will be issued for inclement weather unless the event is officially cancelled.
• Partial-day cancellations (e.g., one night cancelled due to severe weather) may be eligible for a partial refund or credit at the Organizer's sole discretion.

3. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website or purchase tickets.

• We are committed to protecting your personal information and handling it responsibly.
• We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
• We comply with applicable federal and state privacy regulations, including the North Carolina Identity Theft Protection Act (N.C.G.S. § 75-60 et seq.).
• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us using the information in Section 8.

4. Data Collection & Usage

Information We Collect

• When you purchase tickets: Name, email address, and ticket selections. Payment card details are collected and processed exclusively by Stripe, Inc. — we never receive or store your card number, CVV, or expiration date.
• When you visit our website: Standard web analytics data including IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring URL. This data is collected via Cloudflare Analytics and is used in aggregate to improve the website.
• When you check in at the event: Your ticket QR code is scanned to verify entry. Check-in timestamps are recorded for capacity management.

How We Use Your Information

• To deliver your tickets and order confirmation via email.
• To send event-related communications: schedule updates, weather advisories, parking information, and event reminders.
• To verify your ticket at the gate on event day.
• To process refunds if applicable.
• To improve our website and future events based on aggregate, anonymized usage data.

Data Retention

• Ticket purchase records are retained for 12 months after the event for accounting and customer service purposes, then deleted.
• Email addresses used for event communications are deleted within 90 days after the event unless you opt in to future event announcements.
• Web analytics data is retained in aggregate form and cannot be used to identify individual users.

Cookies

• This website uses essential cookies only — for site functionality and security (Cloudflare). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

5. Payment Security

• All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor — the highest level of security certification in the payments industry.
• Your payment information is transmitted using 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption directly to Stripe's servers. Our website and servers never receive, process, or store your credit card details.
• Stripe's security practices are audited annually by a PCI-certified independent auditor and comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

• If you suspect unauthorized use of your payment information in connection with a ticket purchase, contact us immediately and also notify your card issuer.

6. Event Policies

General

• Gates open at the time published on the event schedule. Ticket holders should arrive early to allow time for entry.
• Management reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee for disruptive behavior, violation of event rules, or any conduct deemed unsafe.
• Re-entry is not guaranteed. Check with gate staff for re-entry policy on the day of the event.

What to Bring

• ✅ Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome and encouraged.
• ✅ Valid photo ID (required for alcohol purchases — must be 21+).
• ✅ Your phone with your QR ticket ready for scanning.

Prohibited Items

• 🚫 Outside alcohol or coolers.
• 🚫 Glass containers of any kind.
• 🚫 Weapons, fireworks, or any dangerous items.
• 🚫 Pets (service animals excepted).
• 🚫 Professional recording equipment without prior authorization.

Photography & Recording

• By attending the event, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded. These materials may be used by the Organizer for promotional, advertising, or social media purposes without compensation.
• Personal photography and video for non-commercial use is permitted.

Accessibility

• ADA-accessible accommodations are available. Please contact us in advance so we can ensure appropriate arrangements are made for your visit.

7. Limitation of Liability

• Attendance at Summerfest is at your own risk. The Organizer, venue, performers, sponsors, and their respective agents shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from your attendance.
• The Organizer is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
• The Organizer's total liability to you for any claim arising from ticket purchases shall not exceed the face value of the ticket(s) purchased.
• The Organizer is not responsible for any acts of nature, weather events, power outages, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control ("force majeure") that may affect the event.
• These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Rockingham County, North Carolina.
